Tonight's activity was going to see the trains at Northpark. Hunter was so excited to go see them!
The sweet teen worker offered to take our picture when we first arrived. I told him that Hunter wouldn't smile so just to take it, and not only did he not smile, he closed his eyes...
At least it wasn't intentional.Once we started looking at all of the trains, Charlotte seemed pretty apathetic...
...but Hunter loved looking at all of the little details. He was really intrigued by these oil rigs...
And I was really excited to see the little model of Baylor...
I told Hunter, "Look! It's mommy's work!" He was less than thrilled. But, when he saw the state fair section, he was in awe...
It was for sure his favorite part. We stayed there the longest and even came back to it to look again after we had finished looking at all of the other sections.
I kept asking Hunter if he wanted to wear his hat, but he just wanted to carry it. After about the 5th time of being asked, he handed it to Charlotte to shut me up. (He's learning so quickly.) Charlotte was happy to wear it...
She was cute, and she knew it! She demanded to be put down pretty soon after that so she could prance around the place in her engineer's hat...and do a little dancing to the music...
That girl loves to dance. For her sake, I'll hope that she will miraculously have some sort of rhythm. We all know James and I aren't the coolest dancers on the dance floor. Our verse for tonight was Matthew 1:21 "She (Mary) will give birth to a son, and you (Joseph) are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”
Jesus is the Greek for Joshua, which means the Lord saves. I am so thankful for God's saving grace this season!
