I took a nap with James and the kids today instead of going to the grocery store like a responsible mom, and when I woke up I just felt yucky. So, we changed the plan for the night a little. Originally our activity was for Hunter and I to go on a date and buy a gift for Charlotte and for James and Charlotte to do the same. We ended up just going to see "Wreck it Ralph" all together and then separate in Target so the kids could pick out gifts together.
When Charlotte and James met us in the car, Char kept trying to tell Hunter what she got him. We had to keep hushing her to wait until we got home. Since I knew there was no way she could keep herself from telling him for 17 more days (coupled with the fact that they were begging to open their gifts tonight), we let them exchange tonight.
We're trying to teach Hunter that ladies go first, so Charlotte ripped open her Target bag and found...
A sleeping beauty Barbie! Just what she needs:). Aurora will join the collection of Cinderella (2 actually), Belle, Rapunzel, Ariel, and Charlotte (the blonde from Princess and the Frog) Disney barbies.
Hunter was giddy when he glimpsed his gift...
A Slurpee maker!
We didn't make any tonight because it was so late, but told him we could make some after church tomorrow. We'll see if we can make them as yummy as 7-11's.
Our verses tonight were Luke 2:3-5...
"And everyone went to their own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child."
Tomorrow is going to be really busy! Hopefully we'll make it through with happy hearts:)
