WDW Day 5: Magic Kingdom

On Sunday Magic Kingdom opened at 8 am, which meant an even earlier wake up. We were excited to meet up with James' cousin, Maggie, and her family, though, so we were up and at 'em early. We walked past the bag check at Magic Kingdom right after they had finished the opening show, and the Drobny's were there waiting for us right by the entrance to the park. Maggie and I had made a plan together ahead of time, so we knew our first stop was Peter Pan. After greetings, we headed that way...

Then we went to meet Ariel in her grotto (in her tail!)...

Jonathan and Hunter couldn't have cared less about this, but they were good sports, and it wasn't a long wait.

After meeting her, we hopped on her ride, and it was just as fun as the last time we rode it! Then we went to Dumbo...

And then the Barnstormer again. Grey rode with me this time and held on for dear life. No crying or fussing, though, and he seemed fine when it was over. Jonathan and Hunter were old enough that they got to ride with each other on every ride, but Charlotte wasn't old enough, so if it was just a 2 seater, she had to ride with an adult. She was sad that she didn't get to ride with Jenna all the time, but there were enough rides mixed where she was able to sit with her that Char didn't get *too* upset.

After Dumbo the plan was for James and Hunter to ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train with their fastpass, but it wasn't time yet. The park was so empty that morning...no lines at all! I think the early opening and the fact that rain was forecasted, held people off. Since we had extra time, we decided to head to Tomorrowland...

Maggie rode Space Mountain with Hunter and Jonathan while the rest of us hopped on the people mover again. Can you tell our family loves this ride??

Then we all hopped on Buzz...

Zurg! (Grey was still scared of him)...

Then it was time for the Seven Dwarfs fastpass, so we all headed that way to get a rider switch. When Hunter and James got on, the rest of us headed to the teacups...
Char wanted to spin so fast that Grey was getting a little uneasy (that picture was pre-spinning). He survived, though.

Here are ride photos on the Mine train...

And an AWESOME video!

The boys were exiting Mine Train right as we were walking past, so we all decided to head to Haunted Mansion. Afterward, the girls and I had to run to the awesome Tangled bathrooms. We took the opportunity to get some fun photos...

After that, we got a quick snack and then headed to Adventureland to ride Pirates of the Caribbean. I had a fastpass for this for later in the morning, so I just switched it to something else because the line was so short still...

Char kept jumping on Jenna's back, but Jenna didn't seem to mind:)...

After Pirates, we rode the magic carpets of Aladdin...

And the spitting camel got us wet! It hit James right on and he was kind of drenched!

After that, the Drobnys had to go to Epcot for a lunch reservation, so we said goodbye, and Char and I headed to use our rider switch at Seven Dwarfs Mine Train...

Hunter came, too. We got front row!! Hunter's right behind Charlotte...

Our video...

Then we went to Big Top Souvenirs to get some snacks for later and headed to our lunch reservation at Be Our Guest in Beast's Castle!

It was kind of a frustrating experience, so I got a little grumpy again. Luckily, naptime was soon!

I had exchanged mine and Char's Pirates fastpass for the Tinkerbell meet, so Grey, Char and I went to meet her on the way out of the park...
As usual, Grey was crazy.

Then it was to the bus to head to the resort for nap!

It was so much fun meeting up with family that morning. So thankful we were able to work it out! We went back to Magic Kingdom after nap that day, so I'll save the favorites for the afternoon post:)
