Pinewood Derby

Hunter had his Cub Scout Pinewood Derby back in January.  He and James went to my Dad's shop one afternoon, and they all made the car together.  After they made it, Hunter chose to paint it white and add Mario Bros stickers all over it.  For the pinewood derby, his car was listed as Mario Carts...

Hunter was so excited because his car came in first place in all (8) heats for the tiger cubs!...

 

It was a looooong night.  Grey did pretty well just sitting in our laps.  Char watched the entire Frozen movie on my phone after she got done eating her pizza....

All of the First place winners for each den then competed at the end of the night.  Hunter got third place out of all of the first place winners...

He was so excited!!  I really don't think I've ever seen him so proud as when he walked up to get that second trophy.  We are loving Cub Scouts.  It's such a good opportunity for he and James to spend time together while he learns important (and fun!) things.
