Advent, Days 2, 3, 4, and 5

Yeah, blogging each day individually isn't going to happen.  Here's a quick review...
Tuesdays are crazy with ballet and basketball after school, so we just had hot chocolate with sprinkles and marshmallows in between activities.

Wednesday we baked cookies.  The kids were really excited to make and mostly to eat them...

Then on Thursday we delivered some of the cookies to Aunt Katie...

Grandpa...

And Grandee/Poppy and Nanny/Grandad, but I didn't get any pictures there:(

Tonight, we watched Elf, which Hunter thought was hysterical.  I think that's the most I've ever seen him laugh at a movie.  I was worried he was going to choke on his pizza at one point!  While we watched the movie, Char had a Swingsters (the varsity drill team at Sachse High School) dance clinic.  She had such a good time...

Next Friday she gets to go perform at the Varsity basketball game with the Swingsters...
She's pretty excited about that, too, in case you can't tell:)

We've had a lot of good talks with our names of Jesus ornaments and our Bible reading over the last several days.  We've been reading prophecies from Isaiah and Jeremiah about the birth of Christ and how he will be our salvation.  Then, tonight we read a little background on Elizabeth and Zechariah from the book of Luke.  Then we discussed how Elizabeth was Mary's cousin and how she would have John the Baptist just a little bit before Mary had Jesus.

Tomorrow's a full day of basketball and getting ready for James's 40th birthday party tomorrow night!  But first, we are going to see the 12 days of Christmas at the Arboretum.  Hopefully I'll blog again before Monday:)

I wish I was in town to see Char perform and get cookies!
