Advent - Day 12

Today we made Christmas treats for the grandparents and great grandparents.  Charlotte and Hunter really helped me with the whole process...I was impressed!  Their favorite part was clearly doing quality control (as their father would put it).  Char even licked the spoon for us...

Last night we read that the angels told the shepherds that the Savior of the world had been born and that they would find him lying in a manger.  Our verses tonight were Luke 2:13-14, "Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.'"

I explained that the angels came to praise God because it was a very special day, to which Hunter proudly responded that he knew why it was special...because Jesus was born!
