Thirty

So yesterday was the big day.  The big 3-0.  We had a little lunch party at our house with some friends and family that James did 99.9% of the work and preparation for, which makes me so thankful for him.  We were a little worried about the weather, but it was perfect for us.  We'll just say that my hair was not so cooperative.  I blame the humidity for the crinkly flatness..

My eyes decided to play along with my flat hair and come close to being completely shut in most of the pictures.  We'll blame the humidity for that one too.  (It's my birthday, so I'm allowed to be illogical.)

Once again I didn't get pics of everyone, especially the kids...or even my own son!  But to my defense, that boy loathes the camera on most days. 

After some naps, James took me out for dinner and dessert and to look at some laptops. (For those wondering, I decided to forgo the new range and buy a laptop instead.  I know that's completely random, but Kris and my mom helped change my mind a little...and I'm happy with my choice, which for this woman who is constantly second guessing things, that just confirms it for me.)

It was a great day!  I can't believe I'm 30...with my own adult house...and job...and husband...and TWO kids!  How did I get here so quickly!?
