We had such a fun time at Disney World, and I can't wait to retell it all here. The kids knew that we were going in November, but wanted to be surprised on what the exact date was. (Although the last couple of days before we left they were begging to just know when it was already! Enough with the waiting!). I'm so glad we held out and didn't tell them, because it was so exciting to show up at school and leave for Disney right then. Charlotte kept saying over and over during the trip that she's always wanted to leave school to go to Disney World, and she can't believe she actually got to!
We got to the school around 11am, and they called Hunter out of class. When they tried to call Charlotte's teacher, no one answered, so they were trying to figure out where they were. Right about then, we saw Charlotte (the line leader!) and her class walk by to go to the library. She saw us and gave a little sly smile. When her teacher saw us through the window, she had Char go back to the class to get her stuff for the day, and then said to me, "Have a good trip!" I guess Char had already told her about it!
Shortly after that Hunter came into the office...
It doesn't seem like it here, but he was really excited:)
Char doesn't seem too excited either, but at least you can finally see some emotion from Hunter...
We headed to Love Field and everything went pretty smoothly while we waited for our flight (except for the expected terror that is our third born...he was running all. over. the. airport.). But it's easy to handle that when you know you're headed to the most magical place on Earth!
The plan was for one parent to have the bigs while the other sat with Grey on the plane, but both Hunter and Charlotte wanted a window seat, so I got both boys and James rode with Char. There was some turbulence which scared Grey (and Hunter), but other than that, he did pretty well. I was prepared to entertain him...
After we landed, we were one of the last ones to board the magical express (no waiting!) and then we were the first resort drop off! Yay! Our room was already ready and since we had magic bands and had done online check in, we didn't even have to stop at the desk. They texted me the room number, so we just headed on up to our room to drop off our carry on bags. Then we headed out to the bus stop to go have dinner at Downtown Disney. Char kept asking for me to take her picture while we were walking around...
We ate at Wolfgang Puck Express (really yummy!) and then walked around to a couple of stores. Grey was in heaven!
Of course we had to stop at the big Disney Store...
And admire the awesome Lego creations...
The kids found plenty of things they wanted for souvenirs, but we convinced them to hold off until later in the trip since it was the first night (we're a one souvenir per trip family).
The big kids played in this water for a little bit on the way out...
And then we headed back to the resort for bed because we had an early morning at the Magic Kingdom the next day!
