Friday was Charlotte's last day of Kinder and Hunter's last day of 2nd grade. Both kiddos learned a lot and met lots of new friends this school year. Next year will be an all new adventure, because we will be at a new school (again). Hopefully this will be it, and we can finally settle into a school that we will be permanently. I've been so busy lately that I didn't even get teacher gifts until I had already sent the kids to school on Friday. So the kids had to give them to their teachers at pickup. Charlotte and Mrs. Anderson on the last day...
And the first day...
She's really matured this year (in so many ways!).
Too cute!
Since Hunter had to run back in the school to give his teacher a gift, I didn't get a picture of them together, but here he is once we got home...
And one from the first day of school...
Wow! He has really grown up, too!
After we got home, we finished loading up the car and headed to Corpus! It took us 9 hours with stops, because we were in traffic most of the first half down.
The next morning, we got up and headed straight to the beach!
Grey was a little unsure of the sand at first...
but before long he was loving it!
I think it's safe to say, this kid LOVES the beach!
The big kids had a blast with their dad while I watched the little one. They are the tiny dots way out there...
A little closer in...
Love this one!
Grey loved flying this Ariel kite...
Char always laughs nonstop with Rich...
And all the big kids had a blast on the boogie boards...
Char and James jumping waves...
Grey took a short break from the water to play in the sand with cousin Keira...
It was a great first day! All of the Brookses except for Grey got a little burned...and some of us got a lot burned. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning of the physical ailments. Stay tuned for more...
