Hunter played basketball for Wylie Basketball Association this season, and he had a great time. We loved his team, the Jazz. I didn't get to take many pictures, because most of the time, I was chasing Grey around. I did make sure to get a couple shots during the tournament last week. The Jazz won the first two rounds and made it to the final 4. They played Tuesday at 6:30, Wednesday at 8:30, and Thursday at 8:30, so by the time the semi-finals made it on Thursday night, they were beat to say the least. It was past all of their bedtimes when the game started. The Dragons, the team that they lost to in the semi-finals, ended up winning it all. They were undefeated all season. We were so proud of our boys!
I was so thankful that Hunter ended up on the team that he did. Both of his coaches were so positive and affirming. His head coach got choked up when talking with them after the game on Thursday night. It was obvious that the team was really special to him. Saturday, we all met at Braum's for a team party...
The coach gave a sweet little description of each kid before handing them their trophy. Hunter made some good progress this year, and is on his way to being a great defensive player. Most importantly, he has fun while playing, so we'll keep on doing it as long as that's how he feels. He loved his teammates, and so did I...
On the left, starting at the front: Casen, Ian, Dallin, Hunter, Aidan, Barrent (hiding behind Hunter), and Landon.
I love how Hunter and Aidan are giggling here...
Go Jazz!
