Trick or Treat!

I had been told that our neighborhood was awesome at Halloween, and it did not disappoint tonight!  The kids were so excited to get dressed up and go beg for candy!

Our little Anna in her go to pose...

Silly little Olaf...

I swear I don't coach this girl.  She comes up with that sass all on her own...

No matter how many Frozen characters I suggested to Hunter (Kristoff?, Marshmallow?  Sven?  a TROLL?!?), he was not feeling our theme.  So he was a warrior ninja...

We could not get it together for a group sibling photo...

Who wants to take pictures when there's candy to be had!!

We do!

And the boys were gracious enough to help fulfill my paparazzi mommy needs...

Finally! we headed down the street for some can-day!

Sadly, we haven't met many neighbors since moving in, so it was a great chance to get to meet some of the people on our street.  We met one other family who also just moved in October.

Olaf was a hit again.  Everyone ooohhhed and aaaaahhed so much, that Hunter asked why everyone thought Olaf was so cute!

You can't deny it, he is pretty cute!

He got a little tired, so decided he'd just plop down on these people's porch:)

These pictures don't do it justice, but this house was AWESOME...

Surprisingly, we only made halfway down our street and halfway down the street behind us and the kids started begging to go see family (which we had planned on, but we thought they'd want to go longer in our own hood first), so we headed out for Nanny and Grandad's.

Poor Grey kept getting buried under his hat!

We got some candy from Nanny and Grandad and sat to talk for a while.  When we got in the car to leave, Hunter said, "Well that was nice of them to let us in to talk to them."  Lol.

Then it was off to the Ansons...

And the last stop was Grandee and Poppy's, but I forgot to get a picture there, because I was freezing and exhausted at that point.  Pretty much feeling like this...

And even more tired now!  It was a fun, candy-filled night!

Pumpkin Village and Childrens Garden

The kids had a random early release on Wednesday, so we rounded up some friends and headed to the Arboretum.  Fall is my favorite time at the arboretum...I love the pumpkins!  Nathan told us he heard there were more than 1500 pumpkins there!

The kids loved these giant pumpkins at the entrance and wanted to climb on them, so I distracted them with a picture...
Macy and Charlotte are in Kinder together this year and have become fast friends!  They are too cute together!

And the boys (being photo bombed by Char)...
Nathan and Hunter have been friends basically since birth.  I've loved watching them grow up together at church.

Poor little Grey didn't have a friend, but he just loved exploring solo...

He wasn't so sure about the hay, though...

Pumpkin houses!

And a sea of pumpkins...

Of course the girls wanted a photo in Cinderella's carriage...
The arboretum really got good use out of this purchase.  I think we have about 10 pictures in it from different times we've been to the Arboretum.

Grey had to join them for a photo opp...

I  love these pics of the 4 bigs on the bridge...

I tried to get one of Grey on the bridge, but I didn't want to back away from him too much, so this is the best I got...
Still cute!

Brothers!

I tried for a group picture...

Grey wasn't smiling (or looking at me), so Hunter tried to help...

Love this close up!!

The kids were over all the pictures by then, so we headed to the Children's Garden and stayed there for over an hour.  Grey tried the tornado for the first time and loved it!

I didn't let him in there at first, but he was watching all the big kids laughing inside and was begging to get in, so we started it over with him in with them the second time.  I think they did it 3 or 4 times!

Such a fun afternoon with friends!

Northpoint Trunk or Treat

We went to Katie's church's annual trunk or treat last night.  I think this is the 3rd or 4th year that we've gone and the kids always love it.  After nachos, the kids played some games and Char got her face painted...
She chose a butterfly this time.  Again, it was green, coordinating with her Anna dress.  Last night she was going for a combination princess look with an Anna dress, one Rapunzel glove, and a Cinderella crown.  She also had a generic wand that isn't in the picture.  I have no influence over her fashion choices anymore.  (She wore 2 different shoes to church yesterday.  On purpose.)

Grey fought getting his costume on again, but once we got there and put his hat on, he was giddy to just run around.  He got plenty of ooohs and aaahs and "Olaf!"s again...

One of the many times he ran through the halls...

Playing games...

Ready to trunk or treat!

One car had a hockey game set up...

Hunter scored on the first try, so he got a full sized candy bar!

Grey loved collecting candy in his Olaf bucket...
...almost as much as he loved throwing the bucket across the room and then running to pick it up:)

This fishing truck is there every year...
It's always a fun one for the kids!

Uncle Steve had his truck set up this year where the kids had to walk through it to get their candy...

It was another fun night!  We have a huge bowl full of candy in the kitchen and we haven't even been trick or treating in the neighborhood yet!
